Sometimes people are not sure what a bookkeeping business can do for them or how we are able to do more than just file VAT returns.

One of the key ways we make a difference is by creating a detailed checklist for each client. We are a small team and these checklists allow us to know where we are up to on any client at any time. If a client needs weekly sales invoice, a monthly bank reconciliation and quarterly VAT returns these steps are all on the checklist to be ticked off.

If the payroll records need to be checked against the profit and loss account each month and the credit car statements need to be requested from the client, again these steps are on the tailor made check list to ensure nothing is missed.

If all these little details are left to the end of the quarter or worse still, the end of the year, the information is harder to find and the rushing around is never how the best work is produced.

Clients pay a set fee which allows them to budget for bookkeeping support – there are no scary surprises when the invoice is received. This has been a change rolled out over the client list fairly recently as some clients were still receiving invoices based on time until then. We have found this to be a popular change to the way we work.

BW Bookkeeping can offer some additional services such as setting up social media posts or collating information on spreadsheets when needed. We can provide administration help from time to time which can save our clients money as they do not have to employ additional staff who may not always be kept busy.
